The project deal with the evaluation of the growth of black soldier fly larvae on catering, abattoir wastes and their mixture. Substrate factors that influence treatment efficacy and larval growth will be identified using principal component analysis (FCR, bioconversion, larval dry matter, larval biomass development, development time, survival rate etc), protein and fat development in larval body, as well as microbiological analysis for feed safety of insect meal.
