The Climaqua project aims to improve the sustainability of global food production by developing concepts for nutrient recycling within Aquaculture systems. But to make an impact, such a system needs to be feasible from an economic point of view. With your thesis at DIL, you will make a contribution by analysing the costs and Benefits of nutrient recirculation along the whole life cycle. Your work will involve analysis of the different cost and benefit factors to demonstrate if and how a system using algae to recirculate nutrients in aquaculture can be economically feasible. You can look forward to diverse and challenging tasks in an international, motivated and supportive team.
