Summer School (Our) Future-Meat

At the DIL Deutsches Institut für Lebensmitteltechnik e.V. in Quakenbrück, a summer school will be held in the second week of September.

The aim of the summer school is to bring the meat industry to the attention of students from other food technology degree programs as an interesting and attractive industry and to show the various fields of work. We would like to give you the opportunity to gain insight into a food sector that is only taught in a few places. You have the opportunity to gain an overview of meat technology and meat research.

As can be seen from the daily schedule, we will be giving lectures on this subject area, as well as on related topics such as leadership and entrepreneurship. We will show you how different sausage products are produced in our technical center. At the same time, you will have the opportunity to take part in an field trip, the Meat Industry Forum, and the accompanying social program (BBQ). Only 20 students in total can take part in our summer school. Every level of education—bachelor, master, or PhD—is welcome and can apply for a place. We can provide accommodation for five students in Quakenbrück for the duration of the summer school. The selection will be based on your background and goals.
