After more than 35 years of dedicated commitment, Josef Lanwert, a long-time master electrical engineer, was bid a festive farewell to retirement.

Quakenbrück, 11/29/2024 - A special milestone was celebrated on Friday at DIL Deutsches Institut für Lebensmitteltechnik e. V. and DIL Engineering GmbH in Quakenbrück:
After more than 35 years of dedicated commitment, Josef Lanwert, a long-time master electrical engineer, was bid a festive farewell to retirement.
Josef began his journey 35 years ago at the DIL Deutsches Institut für Lebensmitteltechnik e. V. in Quakenbrück. When DIL Engineering GmbH emerged from DIL Deutsches Institut für Lebensmitteltechnik e. V. and its mechanical and plant engineering division in 2021, Josef became an indispensable part of the team right from the start. Over the years, he has not only contributed to the company's success with his extensive expertise and tireless commitment, but has also trained many trainees and passed on valuable knowledge to them.
“It was a very valuable apprenticeship for me with Josef, which gave me orientation after school and opened up many new paths and opportunities after graduating as a journeyman,” says Peter Pepke, a former apprentice who now heads the electrical engineering production department. “His support and knowledge shaped me and helped me to successfully manage the department today. I am very grateful to him for that.”
In honor of this special moment, the entire DIL Engineering GmbH team gathered for a joint breakfast, where Josef was thanked for his many years of loyalty, his extraordinary contribution and the training of numerous young talents.
After more than three decades of intensive work, Josef is now entering a new phase in his life. The Wallenhorst resident is looking forward to spending more time with his family, traveling and pursuing his many hobbies. However, his footprints and commitment will remain an integral part of DIL history.
