within the scope of a research project on the topic: Reduction of Listeria monocytogenes in meat products through combination of high-pressure and bacteriophages (within a period of at least 5-6 months)
Areas of responsibility
  • Practical and independent performance of experiments on high-pressure inactivation of Listeria and Listeria-specific bacteriophages as well as data evaluation
  • Characterization of the high-pressure resistance of different L. monocytogenes strains in dependence of food components, if necessary, investigations of the influence on the transcriptome of L. monocytogenes
  • Characterization of the high-pressure inactivation of Listeria-specific phages in dependence of food components
Your profile
  • (Master's) studies in Microbiology or Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Biology, Food Technology with advanced knowledge of Microbiology
  • Experience in handling microorganisms or pathogens or experience in biosafety level 2 laboratories
  • Accurate and organized work ethic
  • Strong communication skills and team spirit
