To strengthen our "Advanced Technologies" team, we are seeking a student (m/w/x) to begin their
Master thesis
on the topic: Determination of optimal parameters for yeast cell disruption using ultrahigh-pressure homogenization (UHPH)
Areas of responsibility
  • Investigate the influence of pH, temperature, and UHPH pressure on yeast cell disruption.
  • Extract yeast proteins and analyse their functional properties.
  • Determine optimal pretreatment conditions and the ideal UHPH pressure for yeast cell disruption without negatively impacting the functionality of the yeast proteins.
  • Develop experimental designs and plan and conduct experimental studies.
  • Conduct the experiments and statistically evaluate the results.
Your profile
  • Completed studies in biotechnology, food technology, bioprocess engineering, or a comparable field.
  • Experience in a laboratory and/or working with enzymes is desirable.
  • Independent and self-motivated work style, commitment, and teamwork skills.
  • Good MS Office skills.
  • Fluent written and spoken English skills.
