News about DIL Innovation Park online

Quakenbrück. The German Institute of Food Technologies (DIL) in Quakenbrück reinforces information flow about the new DIL Innovation Park.  With the collaboration of Artland, DIL established the new internet platform www.dil-innovationspark.de. For this reason, information is also available via www.artland.de.

At the new domain, use of the new facilities is elucidated. Furthermore, scheduled events such as the Open Day 2011 in the end of August are announced. This is also the date for the opening of DIL Innovation Park including a visit of David McAllister, prime minister of Lower Saxony. But first, on 16 June we expect Gert Lindemann, agriculture minister, attending the annuallymeeting of DIL members. Lindemann want to inform himself about the progress of building operations, future plans as well as several special topics of the DIL members.

Another important event worth mentioning is iFOOD2011 (Innovation Food Conference) in October. During three days, researchs from all over the world will discuss the topic of “non-thermal innmovative processing in food industries”. About 200 participants are expected to attend so that the seminars will take place in Osnabrück as well as Quakenbrück.

Also DIL employees are looking forward to the early innovations. The institute as it is today was originally planned to accommodate 40 employees. Meanwhile, about 130 scientists and high-profile researchers are working there. From August on, they will get additional space.
