Dr. Georg Böcker elected to the DIL Supervisory Board
On September 3, 2009, the General Assembly of DIL elected Dr. Georg Böcker to the Supervisory Board. The body, consisting of representatives of the member companies and member associations, currently has 11 members. After Mr. Claus Rühle, who was elected in December 2008, Dr. Georg Böcker is the second young entrepreneur who could be won over for the Supervisory Board.
The company Ernst Böcker GmbH & Co. KG from Minden, Germany, produces and supplies sourdough for bakeries and their suppliers. The product range encompasses about 100 different types of sourdough made from various raw materials such as rye, wheat, spelt, oat. The sourdough products are available to the baking industry and bakery trade as powder, liquid or paste. One key topic for the future development at Ernst Böcker GmbH & Co. KG is research and development.
According to Dr. Georg Böcker, the DIL is an ideal research partner at the food relevant interface of material sciences and process engineering providing for many benefits to the German food industry because of its industry contacts and knowledge. Regarding his cooperation on the DIL Supervisory Board, Dr. Georg Böcker is committed to contribute his expertise and business experience to the Institute and its further growth. Dr. Böcker has a PhD in food technology.
