Symposium “Bioactive ingredients for functional food”

Within the scope of the Network Food, the FAEN (Research collaboration in agricultural and nutritional science in Lower Saxony) organizes a symposium with the title "Bioactive ingredients for functional food" that will take place on 6 October 2010 at the Biotechnica fair in Hanover, Germany.

Food network – From high-quality raw material to health nutrition

The food network is a joint project of research institutes from Lower Saxony aiming to obtain bioactive ingredients of high quality for the production of functional foods. Starting with the production of ingredients from domestic raw materials, the project proceeds along the food chain up to the manufacture of high-quality healthy food products. Thus, the competitiveness of the Lower Saxony’s food industry is ensured by new orientation towards the tendency of food with a health added benefit.
