Microwaves Technology - Innovative processing with microwaves
Seminar and application week
Microwave ovens are well-known and established household appliances with a series of advantages. They are now increasingly used for industrial processing as well because they can do more than just heat products. Benefits in process control are short response times and high reliability. Because the energy is introduced directly into the material, such systems use only very little energy which minimizes the operational costs. They are also easy to operate and their footprint is small compared to conventional equipment. The benefits of this technology are quite evident and their possible application range is broad.
Common areas of application in food technology include:
- Drying
- Heating
- Melting
- Thawing
Within the scope of a cooperation with the company Linn High Therm GmbH, Eschenfelden, Germany, DIL offers you the opportunity to test a technical scale microwave equipment with your product in Quakenbrück. The unit has a performance of 11.2 kW and can be used for quick and homogeneous heating, melting, thawing and drying of a large number of products.
During the application week from 26-30 October 2009, you have the chance to reserve a belt drying system for your own product trials. Our experts are ready to assist you in adjusting the optimum process with correct parameters. You can also make use of our analysis service for characterization of the products treated.
Added to this, there is a half-day seminar at the beginning of the application week. In this seminar you will learn details about the properties and possibilities of microwave technology. This also includes a comparison with other processing technologies. During the seminar the operation of the system will be demonstrated and specific questions from the audience will be answered.
